Art contests with 2026 deadlines: who runs them, how entry works and when they close
Art contests with deadlines from October 15 to December 1, 2026 include four Fusion Art calls, Light Space & Time's Nature 2026, Anthology's cover competition and the .ART Award. Each organiser sets its closing date on its own page, and Anthology, Light Space & Time and the .ART Award take submissions online. The Luxembourg Art Prize and IndiaArt's Khula Aasmaan both close on September 30, 2026.

Drawing contests: art calls and prize drawings
Drawing contests come in two kinds that share a name. One asks for a picture. The other is a prize drawing, in which a name goes into a pool and nobody draws anything.
TPR's 2026 drawing contest is the second kind. Its rules are headed as official rules for 2026, and a person who makes a contribution online during the drawing window is entered into that drawing automatically. Entry follows the contribution, not a picture.
A drawing contest online needs an entry route, and the Phillies' rules name theirs. Participants log on during the Entry Period and click the contest banners, buttons or links to reach the online entry form. The rules name that route as the way to enter.
STAEDTLER's terms show a third pattern, in which the work itself is specified. Entrants draw and colour the theme Fantastic Forest on A4 paper, using only STAEDTLER products. Size, theme and materials are all conditions of entry, and a picture that changes one of them is not the picture the organiser asked for.
Online for adults near me: sites and lists of upcoming late 2026 calls
For adult entrants, Fusion Art's calls are named by theme or by who is eligible, not by age: Everything Abstract 2026 and Red 2026 invite 2D and 3D artists worldwide, Women Artists 2026 invites women artists, and a fourth call closes on December 1, 2026. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery takes work in any media for Nature 2026, its 16th annual nature competition. Ages appear where the entrants are children.
A list of upcoming online art contests points to the organiser's page and stops there. The closing date and the eligibility line belong to the organiser, so when a list and an organiser's page disagree, the organiser's page is the rule.
Near me is settled by a residency clause, not by distance. Fusion Art and Light Space & Time invite artists worldwide, so no distance applies to them. A contest with a residency clause, such as STAEDTLER's, fixes the place in its own terms.
The Luxembourg Art Prize runs on a yearly cycle: the Pinacothèque requires online applications by September 30 of each year, so the same date returns every year. Seven of the nine calls in the table close between October 15 and December 1, 2026; the other two close on September 30.
Coloring contest age groups: three categories at STAEDTLER, three at Timberland Bank
Coloring contest age groups are fixed by each organiser's own terms, and two sets are on record. Timberland Bank's coloring contest has three age categories: 6 years and under, 7 to 12 years, and 13 to 18 years. STAEDTLER's terms for its children's contest list three categories as well: ages 3 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12.
A band is a hard limit. An entrant aged 9 sits in STAEDTLER's 7 to 9 category and no other, and an entrant aged 12 sits in Timberland Bank's 7 to 12 band until turning 13.
Materials are the second condition. Timberland Bank accepts only hand-colored entries, and STAEDTLER's clause names its own products and nothing else. And a picture outside either clause is outside the contest, however carefully it is coloured.
Coloring contest pages carry these lines in their own text. Where the entrant is a child, the consent on the form comes from a parent or guardian, so the adult reads the age line and the materials clause before anything is coloured.
Art contest entry forms, caps and closing times
Art contest entry runs through forms, and each form times things differently. Anthology takes Cover Art Competition entries through an online form, with its standard fee window running from March 1 to October 31, 2026. The .ART Award from UKCI Holdings Limited takes entries through online forms between May 11, 2026 at 12:00 UTC and November 1, 2026 at 12:00 UTC.
That last closing is a clock time, not a calendar day. 12:00 UTC reads as a different local hour in each offset from UTC, so an entrant converts it in advance.
The Phillies' rules add a third mechanism: an Entry Period, and an online entry form reached from the contest banners, buttons and links.
Entry caps differ even within one organiser. IndiaArt's Khula Aasmaan page sets a limit of five artworks per participant, lists online submission as free and keeps it open 24 x 7 until September 30, 2026. A second IndiaArt page states a maximum of 25 entries per participant. Two figures from one organiser are a reason to ask before uploading more than five.
An art contest voting form belongs to a different stage. The calls in the table close on submission deadlines; a public vote, where an organiser adds one, has its own form and its own rules for who votes and how a vote is counted.
International art contests: worldwide calls and residency limits
Worldwide is the word Fusion Art and Light Space & Time use for international entry. Fusion Art invites both 2D and 3D artists worldwide to Everything Abstract 2026 (closing October 15) and Red 2026 (closing November 5), and to a fourth call closing December 1, 2026. Light Space & Time Online Art Gallery extends the same invitation for Nature 2026, closing October 30.
IndiaArt puts the reach in the name: the Khula Aasmaan International Online Art Contest lists online submission as free and gives September 30, 2026 as its closing date.
Residency works in the other direction. STAEDTLER's terms open its children's contest to children residing in Malaysia aged 3 to 12, and no other residence qualifies.
A listing headed art contest Qatar, or tagged UK, names a place. The place can be the organiser's base, the venue or the eligible entrants, and only the residency clause in the rules says which.
Certificate of participation, and an entry certificate for each picture
One coloring contest's rules, published on an agricultural classroom site, state that each participant receives a personalized certificate. The line covers every participant, so the certificate records taking part and says nothing about placing.
The Minneapolis Moline collectors' coloring contest rules run the other way. Entrants complete a Contest Entry Certificate for each picture entered, so one picture needs one certificate and three pictures need three.
A drawing competition certificate is therefore two different documents under one word: the one an organiser issues and the one an entrant files. Neither one records a result, and neither one replaces the rules that define the contest.
Scam checks: the fee question and the named organiser
The entry-fee question is the one a scam turns on, so the fee line comes first. Anthology prints a standard fee window from March 1 to October 31, 2026. A label such as online art competition free entry needs the organiser's fee line behind it, and IndiaArt gives one for Khula Aasmaan: online submission is listed as free. Free to enter, or a fee stated beside its dates, is what a real call shows.
A poster, a flyer or a drawing contest logo shows only that someone printed something. A school notice or a YouTube post announcing a contest points toward the rules without replacing them. A named organiser with a dated rule set identifies a real call: the Pinacothèque and the Luxembourg Art Prize, Fusion Art and its four 2026 calls, UKCI Holdings Limited and its published award policy.
No call here attaches a result to a fee or to an early upload. In a contest decided by judges, a purchase of votes changes nothing, because no public count exists. In a contest with a public count, the organiser's rules say which votes are valid and which end in disqualification.
Clauses that remove an entry: time, medium, number and residence
An entry drops out of a contest when it breaks a clause, and the clauses on record fall into four groups.
What the organiser does with an entry that breaks one of these clauses is the organiser's decision. This page cannot reverse it, and neither can a fee or an early upload.
- Time: the .ART Award closes at 12:00 UTC on November 1, 2026, and the Luxembourg Art Prize takes online applications by September 30 of each year.
- Medium: Timberland Bank accepts only hand-colored entries, and STAEDTLER's terms require its own products and nothing else.
- Number: the Khula Aasmaan page sets five artworks per participant, and the Minneapolis Moline collectors' rules call for a Contest Entry Certificate for each picture.
- Residence and age: STAEDTLER's contest is for children residing in Malaysia aged 3 to 12, Fusion Art's Women Artists 2026 call is for women artists, and Timberland Bank sorts entrants into three age categories.

Step by step
-
Start from the organiser's own entry page
Open the page of the body that runs the contest: the Pinacothèque for the Luxembourg Art Prize, Fusion Art for its themed calls, Anthology for its Cover Art Competition, UKCI Holdings Limited for the .ART Award policy. A listing with no named organiser goes no further.
-
Read who may enter before the theme
Check eligibility first. Fusion Art's Women Artists 2026 call is for women artists, STAEDTLER's contest is for children residing in Malaysia aged 3 to 12, and Timberland Bank sorts entrants into three age categories. Theme and medium come second.
-
Find the fee line and the entry cap
Anthology states a standard fee window, IndiaArt lists online submission to Khula Aasmaan as free, and two IndiaArt pages give different caps: five artworks per participant on one, 25 entries on the other. Ask the organiser before uploading more than five.
-
Submit through the named form before the closing instant
Use the route the organiser names: Anthology's online form, the .ART Award's online forms, or for the Phillies the entry form reached from the contest banners, buttons or links during the Entry Period. Convert the .ART Award's 12:00 UTC closing to local time first, and complete one Contest Entry Certificate per picture where the rules call for it.
Questions
Are art competitions worth it?
Art competitions are worth entering when the organiser is named, the closing date is printed and the entry cost is stated before anyone uploads. Anthology prints a fee window, IndiaArt's Khula Aasmaan lists online submission as free, and Fusion Art dates each of its calls separately. What a placing brings is whatever the organiser's own rules list, and nothing on this page adds to it.
How to find art contests?
Art contests are found on the organiser's own entry page, where the closing date and the rules sit together. The Pinacothèque, Fusion Art, Light Space & Time, Anthology and UKCI Holdings Limited each publish theirs. A list of upcoming calls points to those pages, and the date on the organiser's page is the one that counts.
Is there any drawing competition?
STAEDTLER's children's contest is a drawing competition for residents of Malaysia aged 3 to 12, where entrants draw and colour the theme Fantastic Forest on A4 paper using only STAEDTLER products. The Phillies publish rules for a drawing contest entered through an online form during the Entry Period. TPR's drawing contest is a prize drawing, with no picture involved.
Is there an online art contest with free entry?
IndiaArt's Khula Aasmaan International Online Art Contest lists online submission as free and keeps it open 24 x 7 until September 30, 2026. The contest page sets a limit of five artworks per participant. A second IndiaArt page states a maximum of 25 entries, so the cap is confirmed with the organiser before uploading.
Which coloring contest age groups do STAEDTLER and Timberland Bank use?
STAEDTLER sorts entrants into three categories, ages 3 to 6, 7 to 9 and 10 to 12, while Timberland Bank uses 6 and under, 7 to 12 and 13 to 18. Each organiser fixes its bands in its own terms, and Timberland Bank accepts only hand-colored entries. STAEDTLER's contest is open only to children residing in Malaysia.
Which art contests take international entries?
Fusion Art's Red 2026 and Light Space & Time's Nature 2026 invite 2D and 3D artists worldwide, and IndiaArt names its Khula Aasmaan contest international. STAEDTLER limits its children's contest to children residing in Malaysia. The residency clause in an organiser's rules settles who is eligible, whatever a listing's title says.
Does every coloring contest give a certificate?
Certificates depend on the organiser's rules. One coloring contest's rules, published on an agricultural classroom site, state that each participant receives a personalized certificate. The Minneapolis Moline collectors' rules require entrants to complete a Contest Entry Certificate for each picture entered.

No entry in these art contests carries a set result: the organiser's judges or public vote decide placings, and neither a fee nor an early upload changes that. This page does not run, judge or count any contest, and it cannot confirm that a closing date has not moved since the last review. Where an organiser's rules forbid paid votes in a contest, the organiser enforces that rule, not this page.
A contest vote sits under two rulebooks, the platform's and the organiser's. On CuteBaby, voters get ten free daily votes that expire at midnight, and an account needs a South African mobile number. Organisers then enforce their own terms: Darley may disqualify and replace a potential winner who does not follow its rules, and the Queen's Commonwealth Writing Competition disqualifies over-length entries automatically. An order for contest votes changes none of that.
Contest voting has a rhythm of its own. The Arizona State Fair includes live audience voting on every qualifying night, and the Ernie Ball contest measures online activity throughout its contest period. A count that builds across the window, from separate voters, matches that rhythm. None of this is a method for passing an organiser's checks, and an organiser can still disqualify an entry it doubts.
In the United States, the FTC says a real sweepstakes is free and decided by chance, and that a skills contest can ask you to pay to play. Canada's Competition Bureau says a purchase requirement should be prominently disclosed. Those rules govern entry to a sweepstakes or promotion, and whether paying for votes in a contest is lawful where you live is a question for a lawyer. No order is taken for a sweepstakes or other chance draw, for a political ballot, or for a contest whose rules bar outside votes.
The part of an order that never reaches the contest's own count is refunded once the organiser's voting has closed. America's Favorite Pet calls its dates approximate and lets its operator extend deadlines, so that moment is the organiser's to set. A result, a disqualification and a voided vote are never refunded. At IODC, public votes and engagement do not by themselves decide the winners, and no refund changes how a contest weighs them.
